Mariekke Jansen is a Dutch designer whose work bridges curation and creation. Trained at the HKU School of Arts and founder of Mariekke Vintage, she developed a connoisseur’s eye for form, history, and material. Her move from dealing in design classics to designing her own reflects a pursuit of individuality and the belief that objects should carry both cultural weight and function.

With the IDA Lounge Chair, Jansen introduces her signature vision: refined, sculptural furniture that is both timeless and personal — design as an artifact of culture.
