How to clean
Proper wool sofa maintenance ensures your Ida lounge chair stays comfortable and beautiful for years to come. The wool filling inside the chair is placed with great care and cannot easily be replaced. That’s why it’s important not to wash the filling. Thankfully, this is rarely necessary — if the seat loses volume over time, simply supplement the wool rather than replacing it entirely.
Because the outer cover is made of wool or water-repellent recycled polyester, moisture won’t easily reach the inside. In the rare case that the wool filling does become wet, carefully remove only the affected wool and wash it by hand using lukewarm water. Let it dry completely in the sun before placing it back into the chair.
If the moisture has reached parts of the filling that you cannot access directly, we recommend placing the entire chair outside in the sun. Depending on the level of dampness, this may take a day or more, but this method allows the wool to dry naturally and thoroughly — an essential step in responsible wool sofa maintenance.
By following these care instructions, you support the longevity of your chair and the natural materials it’s made from.
